The board of World Paulownia Institute LLC is delighted to announce that Nigel Young BSc, MBA has joined with them to form a new European division, World Paulownia Europe LTD. The European Headquarters and green house facilities will be located in Dorset England.

Nigel a UK native is well qualified to head up the European operation coming from a long and distinguished back ground in agriculture. For more than thirty years Nigel worked as a senior research scientist with the Institute of Grassland & Environmental Research.

During the last 17 years of his career with IGER Nigel was senior resource manager of a large and complex research farm in Devon SW England. Duties included precise management and planning of all aspects of crop, livestock and agro forestry disciplines.

Nigel is an avid enthusiast of Paulownia and is extremely optimistic of its future as a major forestry tree in Europe. Nigel was over whelmed when he saw first hand the rapid growth of the trees and the exceptional quality of the wood from this fast grown species.

He was also impressed with the diverse uses of the beautiful yet light weight wood in high grade applications. Uses include Ply board, decorative moldings, door frames, furniture, Log Homes, musical instruments and craft industries to list just a few.
